BioInfoExperts LLC and FoxSeq LLC announce B.U.G.S. Award

The “BIE Underwrites Genome Sequencing” (B.U.G.S) funding will provide whole pathogen genome sequencing and analysis for up to 35 de-identified pathogen samples. Two awards will be granted to selected individuals working in the fields of infectious disease/infection control/industrial hygiene.

Whole genome sequencing (WGS) of pathogens improves the understanding of outbreaks, treatments, and the evolution of infectious disease. We have developed automated approaches and easy-to-use HIPPA-compliant software that removes the analytical barriers to incorporating WGS into current workflows.

Please include in your submission a 1-2 page description of the following:

  1. Institution: Size, location, and any other distinguishing features about the setting where the samples were/will be collected (e.g. underserved, urban, rural).
  2. Samples: Type of pathogen, tissue collected, storage conditions (either already collected or prospective collection)
  3. Yourself: Your role and what you hope to learn from this project

Please send your application to info@bioinfox.com on or before 8/15/2023

First round selections will be made by 9/15/2023, with final award letter on or before 10/15/2023.
